Gaby Borromeo – “Hotel Chantelle”

I had the pleasure of meeting Gaby a couple of weeks ago for an event I helped out with for Fairfax High School. Granted, I hadn’t known about her prior to working with her but I’ve been a fan since.

Music-wise, she’s grown and talented. In respect to her music, she’s an even more mature and very respectable young person. I was told that she missed her own prom in Seattle to give back to other students to make their own prom a dream prom.

Ellie Goulding and Xaphoon Jones just tweeted about this cover and my ears just exploded with tears. It had been a while since Ellie had any new material and this “High For This” The Weeknd cover is an absolute masterpiece taking in Goulding’s beutiful voice and Xaphoon’s work in producing insane hits.

The two have always been linked up together and this one is the first cover the two have worked one. More, please?

Jhameel – “A Maiden Calling”

Jhameel, an Oakland-based musician, has dropped his third installment of his Are You Free installments. “A Maiden Calling,” the third track from the five part series is a daring combination of indie-pop and a mist of mysterious “genre.” The track serves as a cornerstone for his next album.

I’ve been listening to so much crap lately that this track just annihilates everything in its path to make it one of the most insane of the insane remixes. I’m not even sure that what I just wrote but this track makes my brain and ears swell with dopeness that it’s making it hard to make any sense.

Hear this shit. Bump this shit.

Brick + Mortar: “Move To The Ocean” (Baauer Remix)

Zebra and Snake are Finnish-born Tapio (Vocals/ synths) and Matti  (Bass/ Backing vocals/ synths).  Their first single proper ‘Money In Heaven” from their Healing Music album is out today, and to celebrate the release the Finnish duo would love to give away a free download of Kashii’s remix of the song.

One word to describe Zebra and Snake: Absolutely-delightfully-enchanting-and-awesome!

Their “Money In Heaven” single precedes the release of their debut album ‘Healing Music’ which is set for a 14th May release via 100% Records.

I made it known that I would only want to go to Coachella this year because Snoop Dogg and Dre. Dre are the closest I’d ever come to seeing my generation’s Tupac and Biggie.

But this? Seeing the actual …err, a CGI-ed Tupac on stage? That just blows my mind.

Tupac appeared on staged and performed “Hail Mary” and “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted” with Snoop.
