A favorite of the site, I’ve always wanted to do every single “Cover Lover” post with Ellie’s ever-amazing voice.

Earlier today she was on BBC 1 Radio where she has covered Rihanna’s “Only Girl,” and The Knife’s “Heartbeat” among others. This time she gracefully covers fun.’s “Some Nights” and nails it.

Ellie Goulding just released the visuals for the first single off her forthcoming LP, Halycon, due out Oct. 9th. Her common electro-pop sound is tied in with a video that features her crashing into the river filled with rocks and floating silver orbs.

“Anything Could Happen” is a story of her soulmate, real-life being Skrillex. Her bleeding love, to be exactly.

Ellie Goulding and Xaphoon Jones just tweeted about this cover and my ears just exploded with tears. It had been a while since Ellie had any new material and this “High For This” The Weeknd cover is an absolute masterpiece taking in Goulding’s beutiful voice and Xaphoon’s work in producing insane hits.

The two have always been linked up together and this one is the first cover the two have worked one. More, please?

I’m a sucker for covers. I’m also a sucker for cute UK chicks. With that in mind, there’s no surprise that I absolutely love Ellie Goulding and her cover of The Knife’s “Heartbeats” from 2003′s Deep Cuts, which was also covered in acoustics by Jose Gonzales. You guys might remember her from BBC Radio when she covered and completely turned Rihanna’s “Only Girl” into one of the best covers I’ve heard in some time. Check it out:

Another U.K. songstress that I’ve come to love.  Ellie transforms Rihanna’s played out “Only Girl” track to make it a more enjoyable song overall. Oh, you make me feel like I’m the only girl in the world.

Shoutout to PMA for this gem.

Noah Breakfast

I’m a huge fan of Noah Breakfast, formerly known as Xaphoon Jones and duo to Chiddy Bang. He’s consistently put out some great work with Ellie Goulding, Big Sean, and a few other big names. Noah even produced part of Wet’s debut EP and now he’s set up for a huge year as a solo producer. Wet became one of the biggest hits in 2013 along with St. Lucia and Haim, all Neon Gold Records artists. Whatever NGR’s feeding them, let’s share that juice around to some more artists.

File this under “Mood-setter: Party Starter.” Neon Gold records has debuted Xaphoon Jone’s first hit off his forthcoming Xaphoon Jones Volume 3 mixtape. Xaph spins St. Lucia’s “We Got It Wrong” (which Xaphoon also put his twist on previously),  coupled with  the Madeon remix of “Que Veux Tu” by Yelle to create an insanely-danceable tranced disco smash.

After working with Ellie Goulding, you know he’s got some awesome tracks in store for us this summer. Check out some of the other crazy hits Xaph has created HERE.
