Hoping to make the best out of the new year, Bag Raiders are introducing a new series of monthly mixtapes for 2012. You have samples from all over the place, which makes for a great hour and seven minutes-worth of tunes.

So, as I’m writing a compilation of road trip tunes that I will debut tomorrow, I started think about some of the artists that have become favorites when taking in a long trip. There was one time where I was heading to San Diego alone and I literally could not stop playing iSH’s back-then new mixtape, The Name is iSH. It was dope and he instantly became an artist I’d be looking forward to hearing from in the future.
That was last year, and even though it’s been a while, it’s nice to hear iSH has been keeping busy. “Dreamer” is a track from iSH’s forthcoming mixtape, Long Days, Short Nights. On this new track, iSH remixes Xaphoon Jones’ remix of Savoir Adore’s song “Dreamers.”

If any of Bobby Ray’s mixtapes have ever let you down, you must be a damn fool. The mixtape features the likes of Playboy Tre, T.I., Mos Def, Lil Wayne, and others.

It took OnCue a few setbacks, but Can’t Wait is finally out. It features production by CJ Luzi, 88-Keys, Manicanparty, and more. Sonny Shotz of The Dean’s List, and Mike Posner are featured in various tracks.
Some of the best tracks on the mixtape are “Feel Tall,” “Don’t Fall For That,” and “Kinda Late.”
You can download Can’t Wait here.
The reason why I love OnCue is his ability to voice from the pit of his stomach, flow from the top of his head, but still speak from his heart.

The last week has been filled with buzz about an album from two guys named Kanye and Jay-Z, but there has been no shortage of good music elsewhere in the music world. We had great words for G-Eazy when we posted his last mixtape, and he’s been putting good music out in a consistent form.
The New Orleans-based rapper in G-Eazy has one of the steadiest flows from many of the young rappers and the mixtape is all that: steady hip-hop. Download the mixtape below and check out the music video for “Runaround Sue:”
True to his stature, Lil Wayne goes hard on every beat. With production not being at its best, admittedly, Wayne sets a smooth flow of raps in Sorry For The Wait which is a precursor to the much-anticipate The Carter IV album.
For now, Weezy fans will settle for tracks with Lil B and others.

Our love for Generationals has been growing ever since we first saw them live opening up for Two Door Cinema Club almost a year ago. We posted their Actor Caster album back in March, and today they reward us with a free WP courtesy of Park The Van. Included in the free EP are a few remixes and a new tune from the New Orleans-based band.
My favorite track is “You Got Me” which I would hope some rapper would put their 16 bars over the beat because it would sound so
