New MP3: The Good Natured – Wolves

I’m a new fan of Sarah McIntosh’s The Good Natured. The English singer is working on a EP coming out in June and she just released a new track.

In every society, we find people who are bored with their daily routines, getting up, going to work, and coming home again. ‘Wolves’ is about escapism, leaving the mundane normality of every day life and entering a new world, whether it be a fantasy or a reality.

Its been a while since I’ve posted something and I had to come back with nothing less than amazing music as my apologies. I introduce to you, SEAHAVEN! This post-punk band began their musical journey in 2009 and originate from So Cal. One of my favorite songs is “Head in the sand- Blinding Son” because they’re lyrical manipulation is intense. They have such a distinct way with expressing their truth through words. Its not just a bunch of simplistic word vomit but an art of honesty. This is definitely going to be one of those bands that explode with success. They have all that it takes to print their mark as a shinning band in the musical industry. Its just a matter of time until they start to sell out shows. It WILL happen. So, seriously check out their music and get to know their hearts.

If you loved the band and happen to be near the LA area, go see them at Aladdin Jr. (Pomona-2nd st.) March 22, 2011. I’ll be there ready to sing along. hah

Be sure to check out the videos. I didn’t have them as mp3’s but felt you all had to listen to them. hah

I’m just now getting back from the New Music Seminar Closing Night Party at The Roxy Theater and before the performances began I planned to do a recap of the whole event and write another Spoken Truth, but all that changed once I heard these guys. At first glance, they bare a striking similarity to my favorite Irish band, Two Door Cinema Club, and it doesn’t help that the lead singer also sounds similar to TDCC’s lead singer; and they have identical clothing styles; and,

New Artist: Fez – Low Light

You know that first song you listen to from a band you have never heard of? It’s the biggest first impression. It doesn’t matter whether they have the most creative name or a thousand half-naked women on their profile pictures, if the first song sucks, they suck. That’s not the case for Fez. I listened to this for the first time a few days ago and it was mandatory to put it on my playlist. Few other bands have had that power. I don’t care if the rest of their album isn’t up to par with “Low Light,” anything half

Video: Sky Larkin – A.T.M.

Dear Song In My Head has a share button, Facebook has a Like button, but I’ve just clicked the LOVE button on Sky Larkin. I like to think I’m the second most interesting man in the world (I’m coming for you, Dos Equis guy), so I’ve always wondered who should be on the soundtrack if there ever were a movie produced about my life. Well, I think Sky Larkin would be a perfect fit.
