The last time I caught up with Cypher Clique I had said they were something unique. As with their last track, they dropped a smooth join entitled, “Got My Vans” prod by Zeke.  The track is a video off their mixtape “The Show.” Check it out and visit their sites:

SonicC – Pills N Thrills (Original Mix)

Fresh off working like crazy these past two months, I’ve found out that there’s no feeling like blogging about music. To say the least, we’ve missed posting on DSIMH as much as we’ve missed all the exciting new bands, songs that have come out as of late.

I don’t really do much of this synth and bass thing here around the site but this new SonicC track off the new Dim Rak Records New Noise Volume 1 is my theme track I transition back into the daily routine of searching for music. “Pills N

New Track: The GTW — “August”

Greater Than Wealth, the Chicago-based musician out of Nigeria, has been doing his thing since we debuted his “Running All My Life” video. He’s very smooth with his words and makes for easy-listening rap.

The GTW has released his first single off his forthcoming mixtape, Sublime.

His newest single ‘August’ has a beat he created for his friend, Phil Ade, but The GTW decided to apply his own vocals to the chill track. The song stemmed from a personal situation he encountered with a childhood friend. The GTW speaks of a past relationship with truth and honesty.

It’s definitely a cool, calm track that will shower you with truth. Check out “August” below and make sure to listen to his previous tapes.

If I Had My Own Theme Song

If you could have your own theme song, what song would it be?
I, not too long ago, found the song that gets me into the Rocky Balboa mentality. Sure, I may have exaggerated on that last statement, but who cares? It’s my theme song and it gets me in the zone to conquer it all. I kind of want to shout,” I am man! Hear me roar!” whenever I listen to this track.

The title to the song is ,”Paradise Mix” by Vacationer. A couple of weeks ago I wrote introduced this band on

I got word of this song a couple of days ago when Mostly Junk Food had posted this. It may be true that this very well may be the first time we’ve heard of Elle Varner. Though, that beat has a nice 90s feel to it but even more  so it sounds so similar to some early Britney Spears. I swear, I thought I was listening to some “Baby Hit Me One More Time”  …. one more time.

Regardless, with J. Cole providing a verse, this song is pretty dope. Check it

Mixtape: G-Eazy – Endless Summer

The last week has been filled with buzz about an album from two guys named Kanye and Jay-Z, but there has been no shortage of good music elsewhere in the music world. We had great words for G-Eazy  when we posted his last mixtape, and he’s been putting good music out in a consistent form.

The New Orleans-based rapper in G-Eazy has one of the steadiest flows from many of the young rappers and the mixtape is all that: steady hip-hop. Download the mixtape below and check out the music video for “Runaround Sue:”
