New Artists on the Rise!
Out of all the advantages of having your very own music blog, the biggest is being exposed to all of the dope music that’s out there. Artists send me links, bands send me promos, and other blogs send you awesome new music as well. It’s also pretty cool when bands and artists talk to me via email about random stuff. I’ve received some pretty whacky emails but it makes my day. But, for the most part, I don’t have time to listen to everyone’s tracks or read their bios. Though, I’d like to give back to some of the up-and-coming artists who have shown us love — and to those who just want their tracks up on the site. So, I’ve compiled a few artists who should definitely be given a look. Check ’em out:
Stray Kites – Misanthrope
An indie-folk band whose second LP will be released later this year, Stray Kites has all the makings of a well-rounded band. Check out their latest single via their Bandcamp:

Rah Howard – Hello, Goodbye
This 25-year-old musician is eccentric and energetic. His music has vibe with a little of that good-life feel. I’m digging this, you should too. Check out his latest track:
Hello, Goodbye- Produced by Rah hoWard
Thunder Power – Night Creature
The best part about this band: their makeup. Kidding, I couldn’t stop listening to this at first. I can’t even describe it since I’m a bi hooked. Take a listen, but beware, you might get hooked, too.

The Music of Blue Bird – Metamorphis
Young Vinchi – Baddest Lil’ Chick
A New Yorker with Southern roots, Vinchi boasts a relaxed flow with a hint of “swag.” “The song, with its bouncy Hotlanta flavor, is infectious, in your face and certain to be a strip-club jam, a Hummer joint and Ipod favorite.”
Drega – Overcome
An unsigned artist who writes, produces, and records most of his songs, the Toronto rapper known as Drega has big things coming his way. “‘I wanted to say something bold, but I also wanted to prove myself as a serious rapper and as an entertainer,’ Drega says.”
