New Track/Video: Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know

Have you ever labeled a song “Amazing?” That’s exactly what Gotye’s track “Somebody That I Used To Know” is. The telling of a devious ex who stooped so low to become just somebody that you used to know.

“Somebody That I Used To Know”  features Kimbra and is from the Gotye album Making Mirrors due to be released July 11, 2011.

If the lyrics don’t remind you of that ex, then check the video for the cool visuals.

Can someone do body art on me? I don’t have great physique but, hmm, yeah I have no incentive.

Be sure to check out “Eyes Wide Open” as well by Gotye.

New visuals for Tinie Tempah’s lead single off Disc-Overy. Tempah has been taking over the US in 2011 and I expect to hear more of that UK flow throughout the rest of the year.

There’s something about Tinie Tempah’s vocals that has me hooked. I love his accent, sure, and his flow is smooth, but I can’t quite point to it. I thought he was lame at first, but now I like him without an explanation. Just accept that you’re hooked, I tell myself.

Chiddy Bang have been on a successful trip since last year. They’ve released mixtapes, freestyled for nine hours, and now they’re releasing their first single off their next album, Breakfast.

Summer is here, and a very long night is over. We’d like to bring you the first single, “Mind Your Manners”, along with the triumphant return to music for your summer. Play this at cookouts, barbecues, in your friend’s car, etc. I hope yall can smell the coffee. The sun is starting to peek through the blinds, man. We just hope you’re ready for

Ever since I created this blog, I’ve spent less time on other blogs and more time on Youtube digging up old clips. It’s odd, but I’m glad I spent some time on Pigeons and Planes, one of my favorite music blogs as I’ve mentioned before. I checked out the Matt and Kim video, and at first I wasn’t going to post. I mean, I absolutely love them, but I feel like I post too much about what I like — even though that’s what it’s all about, right?

Well, after playing this clip

With an array of musical instruments, I’ve had this on repeat all weekend long. Why? I really don’t know. There’s something about Gabby Young that just attracts me. Is it her looks, her voice, or all the crazy colors from “Ask You A Question” hitting my face? Whatever it is, I love the overall creativity in Ms. Young. They have a circus/medieval times look, but that’s no pun, she and her band look absolutely badass performing the wild and daring tracks.

We’re All in This Together is Gabby Young & Other Animals’ US debut and “Ask You A Question” is their lead single. Interesting story about Gabby Young: She was the youngest recruit ever to the National Youth Opera and well on her way to becoming an Opera Star. At the time, she had recognized the potential in her voice, so she started crafting it. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The time she spent in care enabled her to write We’re All In This Together and have it to be what it is now.

If that doesn’t earn her respect by the story alone, give her whole album a listen. Trust me, her voice is awesome.

How long has it been since I’ve posted some Eliza Doolittle on the site? Even if t was yesterday, it’s been too damn long. Since having this site up and talking to other bloggers, I’ve realized that every music blogger has one artist who they’re madly in love with. Confusion of Pigeons & Planes would do anything to post about Lykke Li. Hell, I think he even wrote her a poem. Me? Well, I’d probably do the same. I’ve actually met Eliza Doolittle and I froze up. “Like a B%&$!,” my friends would say.

I need to see her again; I

Dope visuals for a dope song from some dope folks.

Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All is a force to be reckoned with. They’re dropping some of the dopest gems of the year. Whether you think their music is trashy and demonic or creative and Straight F*cking Dope, they’re everywhere now. As Goblin is set to drop on May 10th, Tyler and, fellow OFWGKTA member, Frank Ocean combine to make “She” an awesome tune on a sexual crusade.

We can chill and I can act like I don’t wanna fuck
You can tell me all your problems like I really give one
