Video: Lo Keys Feat. Young Gliss – “GoodWood Beads”

I’m going to come out and be honest about Lo Keys: I didn’t think he was fit for my type of music. Not that he wasn’t good enough or that there are standards on the site, but I just wasn’t feeling it, yet. I have this ultimate bias against new rappers that bugs the hell out of me. If they don’t show me that they’re more than just about females, drugs, and haters, then I have no place for them. It’s as simple as that. Though, once they’re actually mainstream, it’s completely different. I don’t know why and I can’t begin to answer it.

So, for Lo Keys, I had to see him develop good lyrics that complements a good beat. Furthermore, I didn’t like all that “She Needs A Pole” type of songs that he’s accustomed to.

This is something I wanted to see, but I’m learning to give way to all the clichés of rap, and hopefully this is a step because some of my friends are turning into rappers, but I don’t even want to listen to that stuff, yet.

Check out Lo Keys in his new vid and his previous track with Mistah Fab after the jump, though:
