I’ll make this short and sweet: Miguel is beast.

He just released a new ditty, “Adorn”, off his new project, “Art Dealer Chic Vol. 1”, and I am definitely left with a fluttering feeling of disappointment. You see, he’s dropping his new project on February 27, and I so wish he’d drop it sooner. Preferably, right this moment! Yes, he sure is a tease, but oh, how I love artists who keep me wanting to hear more, and Miguel is without a doubt one of them. I’m sorry. I have no patience and Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. How perfect would it be if he dropped it before the fourteenth?!? But! I digress…

“Adorn” is only a mere two minutes and twenty-eight seconds long, but it’s butter-smooth. It’s been on repeat since I’ve peeped it. The video consists of Miguel’s luscious lips, eyes, and glimpses of his artwork for “Art Dealer Chic Vol. 1”. Might I add, he designed the artwork himself. It was based on a dream he had. He wanted to create something simple, yet symbolic to convey his longing to discover its meaning.

As the video progresses, splashes of yellow, red, blue, and white abstract shapes paint the screen until you get a shot of his final design. He then stands with his back facing us, pondering. It’s followed by a shot of him fading into the dark with his arms outstretched to the audience. It’s genius in its simplicity (I may be biased due to my fondness of his sexy voice!). Miguel gives another meaning to short and sweet with his latest track, “Adorn” and I know I will be keeping an eye out for, “Art Dealer Chic Vol. 1”, out February 27.
