Lucern Raze – new album out today on PNKSLM

Stockholm Syndrome, below, is the teaser track for a new album by Swedish trendsetter, Lucern Raze.
This bopping tune starts with a harmless enough, but catchy, riff. The tune builds as the distorted vocals and drums kick in. The first chorus steps it up a notch with some heavy, fuzz filled guitar a bit like Royal Blood. By the time the psychedelic organ kicks in, this tune is really on one.
The lo-fi production on this track is right on the money, as I’ve come to expect when listening to anything coming off the press at Stockholm’s, PNKSLM Recordings. It turns out Lucern Raze is the head honcho at PNKSLM, so no surprise that his new album, if the rest is anything like this, is set to be one of their best releases to date.
Previously Monsieur Raze has only given us the pleasure of a limited edition 7-inch. The happy-go-lucky “Sunshine Blues”, back in July last year. This was well received, and everyone has been eagerly awaiting more from this Scandinavian slime rocker.
The rest of the Stockholm One LP is out today, February 25th. Available at: Burger Records (America), and PNKSLM Recordings (Europe). This will sell like hot brownies, so don’t wait until your momma gets home, just go ahead and use her credit card, she won’t mind.
