Andrew Bird has to be one of my favorite folk artists of all time. There’s just something about the way his songs come together to form something that you don’t see anymore in the music industry. An acclaimed violinist, guitarist and (my favorite of all) whistler, Andrew Bird has been in the music industry for more than decade, starting with his band,Andrew Bird’s Bowl of Fire. Mixing the serene sounds of violin with gritty guitar rhythms and the occasional yet, catchy whistled tune, Andrew Bird is nothing short of excellence.

I think the greatest aspect that Bird has mastered is his ability to create broad pieces alone, using his skills to create layers of music on the fly to achieve the sound of a four piece band by himself all while being in front of a live crowd.
