Let’s get some things down. We know you want to go to Coachella and Dear Song In My Head is going to get you and a friend there!
Stay tuned for the details on how you will be able to get yourself these 2 (three-day) passes to Coachella.
Details coming soon.

That’s right, folks. After selling out this year’s festival in a record six days, Coachella 2012 is giving you the opportunity to attend the massive music festival with the same lineup and artists, twice! It’s more of an opportunity for those who lucked-out of buying tickets to have a chance to attend the second, or first, time around. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival have announced plans to hold next year’s event over two consecutive weekends (April 13-15 AND April 20-22) at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.

Passes go

Only a few more hours. F*ck yeah! I’m stoked. Tomorrow shall be the beginning of an amazing weekend for all you folks heading out to Coachella. Seriously, I might pass out; and not from the heat, but from all the glorious music! Alright, so we introduced many great artists and bands during our Countdown to Coachella series, and I’m saddened that we weren’t able to bring more artists into the limelight, but I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot of them more on the site. I have compiled a set of tracks from several artists and bands whom I will be checking out during this weekend’s festivities. So, if you can’t join us, you can still jam with us.

Coachella is around the corner! I’m sure you all are looking forward to it as I am. Remember to check out The Radio Department while you’re there. Their album ‘Clinging to a Scheme’ is definitely worth checking out for those fans of electro noise pop. With their synth hooks and indie beats, they have gotten a lot of success in the UK. Last year, they reached number 20 on Billboard 200 for albums of the year. Which makes me wonder, “Why didn’t I hear of them sooner?”

My favorite song off the  Clinging to a Scheme album has

Cults is one of those groups that have you hooked from first listen. This New York duo has the backings of frontwoman Madeline Follin’s vocals and Brian Oblivion to go with the edgy but cool teen pop sound. Cults has been making a lot of noise in the music scene as they recently signed to Columbia Records, and performed a gig at SXSW.

What I love about Cults is that a year ago, they were just making music for friends — with no type of internet buzz. Seriously, that’s dope. Maybe this whole music site that was supposed to be a joke will land me a job with MTV! or something a year from now. Well, take a listen to CULTS and I’m sure you’ll fall in love with ‘5os pop sound that makes you want to take pictures of two gummy bears kissing each other. Okay, that was random.

Cults will be playing on Day 2 of the Coachella Festival. Check out their latest track entitle “You Know What I Mean,” and be sure to download their EP after the jump:
