Video: Donnis – “Hello Kitty”

Is this the Donnis that we’ve come to know? Hell no. This is Donnis’ first single off his forthcoming Break Hundreds And Hearts EP. If there’s more of this to come, he’ll sure lose some fans. Though, many rappers have made the transition from hip-hop music to a more “swag tune.”

I love Donnis. I think he’s one of the best at what he does, but I’m just not feeling this. Let’s just hope there’s not much more of the same where this came from.

Video: Natalie Angiuli – “New Hands”

We’re big fans of Natalie Angiuli so, naturally, we were excited when she asked us to premiere her video for “New Hands” off her New Hands EP.
“New Hands” is considerably a little more daring than her previous work but with more meaning and thought put into it. I previously said that her  indie-pop, folky sound is so easy to vibe with. She hasn’t changed and it’s easy to see her roots in the EP.
The girl from New York who’s now in sunny LA, she fits right at home mixing poetry and sound.
Check out the video for “New Hands” and download the New Hands EP.

Royseven – “We Should Be Lovers”

I love Ireland! They brought us The Script, Snow Patrol, and Royseven! In early 2011, Royseven released their latest album, “You Say, We Say”, and all I can say is that I’m totally smitten. “We Should Be Lovers” is one of my favorite singles that still gets heavy rotation on my iPod to this very day.  Yeah, I know it’s kind of an oldie, but it’s a goody.

They have three different alternative endings to their video:

“Anger”, “Desire”, and “Lust”!

My personal favorite is “Lust”! Check it out HERE and let us know what you think!

Complex Just announced the Top 25 rappers that are 25 and under

Complex just announced their top 25 rappers that are 25 and under. Just as always anytime that a magazine or anyone announces a list there controversy that surrounds it. People will almost never agree on who should be on the list, and who should receive the top spots. People always have their own arrangement. Whether it is because they dislike a rapper, or it is because their criteria on rappers is different from the person that put the list together. Now that the list is out do you agree with it? Or what should the list look like? Who else Deserves to be on the list

Here is the list and songs that put some of these rappers on the map:

25. Diggy Simmons

BOY – “Little Numbers”

I am going to make this very short and sweet; I love Boy. Particularly their very catchy song, “Little Numbers”. It just makes me all giddy and cheerful inside every time I hear it, and all I can think about is the idea of a cute, carefree summer fling!

So I really hope everyone is ready for summer break. If not, “Little Numbers” should help kick-start that summer mentality for you with its catchy lyrics and upbeat piano and percussion arrangements.

Enjoy!

Neal Brennan, Co-creator Chappelle’s Show, released this never before seen performance of the Beastie Boys unreleased  musical performance of “The New Style” for the aborted 3rd season of “Chappelle’s Show.” The performance was recorded on a boat in the East River, NYC  in late fall, 2004. It’s pretty damn Beastie.

Rest in Peace, Adam Yauch
